Ma&#8217;at is a difficult word to translate, but it is usually literally termed as &#8220;balance.&#8221; Ma&#8217;at is the principle that stability and truth are to be preserved, and was the guiding force behind Kemetic law. It was the belief that a person should contribute to the world around him, rather than exploiting it purely for his own benefit. And it is a principle which still applies today.</p>
<p>Ma&#8217;at was also a sexy Goddess, as evidenced below.</p>
