Ma’at is a difficult word to translate, but it is usually literally termed as “balance.” Ma’at is the principle that stability and truth are to be preserved, and was the guiding force behind Kemetic law. It was the belief that a person should contribute to the world around him, rather than exploiting it purely for his own benefit. And it is a principle which still applies today.

Ma’at was also a sexy Goddess, as evidenced below.
