			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>3 days uptime and counting. Here is the total list of things that we had to do to get my new PC to not randomly freeze:</p>
<p>-flash the BIOS<br />
-switch the CPU (anyone wanna buy a brand-new i3?)<br />
-change the RAM voltage from the default 1.5v to manufacturer-tested 1.65v<br />
-remove the 2nd vid card because SLI on Windows 7 will not happen yet for my parts</p>
<p>Seriously. I am far less impressed than I was with Win7, simply because of the sheer amount of research you have to do to make sure everything will run. In most cases there were no error logs, no repeatable causes, no clues at all beyond some clever google fu.</p>
<p>Extra credit to my beautiful wife for finally figuring out the CPU issue.</p>
