The Nine Satanic Sins is an excerpt from The Satanic Bible, by Anton LaVey (1987). LaVey was a huckster, out to make a buck off stupid people, but making a buck off stupid people is actually perfectly acceptable within Satanism. It’s amusing, because he charged for acceptance into the church and issued member cards, then allegedly privately laughed at the people who paid, since it was like making Christians pay to worship Yahweh – it doesn’t make sense.

There’s a lot of laughs to be had studying or talking to Satanists. Earn their respect and you’ll have a great friend. The most wonderful thing I’ve learned is the Nine Satanic Sins. You’ll see as I list them, these are not evil ideas. They are awesome ones, and not just within the satanic theme of “me first.” More »

…at least for now.

Am I the only one who loved that random quote in Chrono Trigger? they retranslated for the DS and it’s different now.

So, we’ve gone over my youth and how I left the Church, we’ve touched upon my Wiccan and Eclectic periods, And I’ve related my recent epiphany at finding Sekhmet standing right behind me the whole time. And I promised to elaborate on Her and what She means to me. This could get long, but bear with me. More »

Alright, I’ve covered my long religious past. Now you all know roughly where I was at the beginning of this year. It’s certainly not where I am now.

To recap, and addendum: As of the beginning of this year, I was an ex-Christian ex-agnostic lapsed Wiccan. I was a lot like those Christians who never go to church and never really sit down to pray but still believe in the Jesus. Nothing wrong with that, but nother really right with it either. More »

I spent the end of High School and the beginning of University as a man of Science. I decided that the Supernatural and I could peacefully go our separate ways. While I accepted the possibility of God, I did not worship or acknowledge it.

I also entered what could only be described as a cycle of depression and boredom.

Okay, I had hoped to leave this topic for a little while, but my friends, my wife, and my muse are all pushing me into it. So here it goes:

Religion.

Heavy word, that. It carries with it the promise of offense, arguments, and hard feelings, especially on the internet. But it’s also an important part of our lives. Our faith – or lack thereof – defines who we are. It touches every facet of our lives and can be seen in every choice we make.

I want to talk about my religion. I want to tell all of you – voyeurs and loved ones alike – who I am and where I come from.

Ancient History (mine)

Hey hey, internet. I’m blogging again because more than zero people want me to.

I will be using this site as a medium for uncensored expression. If you don’t like what I say, feel free to discuss it civilly in the comments or drop me an email at jreinsch@gmail.com and I’ll be sure to tell you what I think of you.

If you feel a burning desire to tell me my comic sucks, or that because I worship Sekhmet instead of Yahweh I’m going to hell, or that 9/11 was an inside job, then you can fuck right off. We don’t take kindly to your type round here. If you feel a burning sensation, please consult your doctor.
