“Good evening, thanks for calling the region service desk. Can i get your name please?”
“Doctor Stanley” (name changed to protect the retarded)
“And your first name?”
“Doctor Stanley. You need to give me the number for the analyst on call.”
“Actually I do need your first name, so I can log it.”
“Ess”
“Ess?”
“S-T-A-N-L-E-Y”
“No, I need to spell your first name.”
“Ess.”
“Your first name is the letter S?” (at this point I know who she is, but I’m asking on principle)
“Yes.”
“Oh… kay. and what can I do for you?”
“You can give me the direct pager for the analyst on call for Yack.” (name of application changed cause i feel like it)
“Actually I can’t, but I can page him for you. May I ask what this is regarding?”
“Well actually you can give me the number because I’m supposed to have it. He can call me at 53402.”
“I need seven digits. is that 555-3402?”
“Yes.”
“Okay, and as for the direct number, I can’t give that out but you can ask him for-”
CLICK
The funny thing is, the analyst did give her the number so she wouldn’t bother me, but he’s not gonna call her back because he doesn’t care about her; she’s not actually important.
