Most of the highlights and shading play tricks with the eye, and some of it is intentional, and some of it just happens. I really love the one that at first glance looks like cartoon profile face with square eye and a furled brow, but on closer examination is a lovely nude wearing a collar with a square pendant. It's a VERY good work, was that the intent? Unfortunately my wife won't let me buy/hang things like that at home, especially with out 6 year old son. It's real pity, that piece really touched and intrigued me. There is really great art there.
